Some Ancient Families Traced to 12th century

Ancient Families of the British Isles
By Jeannette Holland Austin added to Virginia Pioneers.net

Ancient Families of the British Isles was published in 1971 and has not been re-printed. I spent many long years researching these medieval families and have provided references. To preserve the work, I have granted Virginia Pioneers permission to publish this book on its website in its full context. You now have the opportunity to glean the lineages traced back to about the 11th century. The beautiful color photographs of ancient castles, churches and homeplaces combined with historical facts, genealogies and photos lends itself to an intriguing history and understanding of the roles played by medievals. I believe that you will enjoy reading how the nobility and their kin were intwined in the affairs of the crown heads of Europe. The descendants came to America, mostly settling in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
